SUNY Cobleskill wants to rapidly expand the number of trained meat processors in New York State to alleviate the existing supply chain bottleneck felt throughout the industry. These training experiences are designed for individuals interested in joining the meat industry. This intensive basic training certification program provides the knowledge and skills necessary to attain employment in the meat industry. This credential delivers specialized training in whole carcass utilization, equipment use, and sanitation within federal compliance. The training will take place in our state-of-the-art, USDA-inspected Meat and Fisheries Processing Laboratory.
